I am an artist exploring the human condition and our connection to the nature. I’m inspired by the beautiful, fierce and fascinating environments around us. I’m also interested in our often complicated relationship with them.

My work invites you to think about our place in the natural world. I create striking juxtapositions, strange metamorphoses and surreal images. Through sculpture, I aim to create a sense of wonder, a kind of magic realism in clay.

It also explores heritage, identity and gender. I’m interested in the dialogue between historical artefacts and the contemporary world. Objects can hold stories, memories and meanings.

I combine throwing and hand-building techniques. I experiment with different forms, textures and firing processes. The results are often organic, tactile and unpredictable.

Beyond my studio practice, I teach ceramics and create spaces for people to explore, experiment and connect through making, sharing my skills and love for clay.

We create supportive and inclusive spaces to explore, experiment and discover the joy and connection that comes from working with clay.

About me

I was born in Madrid, Spain, where I lived and studied until moving to London in 1997. It was here that my artistic journey truly began.

I studied for a BA in Ceramics at Camberwell College of Arts in London. Since graduating, I have continued to develop my practice from my studio, creating work for exhibitions, competitions and private collectors in the UK and internationally.

Alongside my studio practice, I have worked extensively in the public arts sector. Since 2002, I have delivered workshops and creative projects with community organisations, artists, companies and social enterprises across Europe.

I also work on a range of public and private commissions, bringing together my experience as an artist, maker and educator.
