Nature and the environment are constant influences on my work. My inspiration for this outdoor installation comes from the beautiful, fierce and fascinating natural environments around us.

“Cosmic Circles” presents the circle as a form found in nature and explore the textures formed by it; We find circles in so many flowers, seeds, plants, the rings in a tree’s growth which sometimes are shaped by the weather, the wind, the waves, the passage of time, or the touch of animals, including humans. The rhythms of the circle also hold close associations with the cycles life and often have cosmological imagery.

Join us everyday except Mondays at OmVed Gardens for the exhibition. Find out more about visiting information.

Avebury Sculpture Exhibition 2021

My homage to Avebury Sculpture exhibition this year explores the Neolithic landscape of Wiltshire by using the imagery of the stones and the circles themselves, combined with designs influenced by other prehistoric survivals, both natural and manmade, such as the Uffington white horse.

The pieces are made from a selection of different clays, which are emphasises by the absence of glazes. The inspiration of prehistoric pottery and cave paintings is revealed through finely drawn lines, as if partly obscured by the passage of time.

Fringe Arts Bath “Still We Rise”

This piece was exhibited during the Fringe Arts Bath Radical Social Practice show 2018.

“Still We Rise” is a personal homage to women artists, musicians and writers who have inspired and empowered me and many other women to raise our voices and grow our courage to maintain the strength, passion and vision in our lives.

Inspired by the roots of our Neolithic women ancestors, she stands to be seen by all, with determination and kindness. Through her veins runs fluently the power of many women and their visions, her horns symbolizing nourishment and determination and nature as an intrinsic part of herself.

“Still We Rise” aims to create a space for dialogue around cultural identity and genre, given a voice to the many valuable contributions of women and their personal histories into our culture.

Arguilla Italy – International Ceramic Festival 2016

I had an amazing time in Faenza at the Arguilla International Ceramic Festival in September. It was a huge and varied gathering of ceramicists, ceramic demonstrations, companies specializing in ceramic materials and tools, and ceramics enthusiasts.

It was very rewarding to see my work in a high quality exhibition of crackling glaze pieces as part of the overall festival and to take part in this fabulous event. I had a lot of stimulating conversations with ceramicists from many parts of the world.
