Summer Art Weekend with the Hackney Utopians

Join us for a weekend of Arts at Abney Park 6-7th August

Artists- The Hackney Utopians, Eva Bachmann, Frank Creber, Maria Alvarez-Echenique

Open to all ages, clay arts trail

Participants will take a board with their clay on it out into the Park. They will find something of interest to make an impression of, a leaf, some lettering or motif on a gravestone etc.

They will come back and shape their piece of clay in the workshop space, in order that it fits into an overall shape.

The clay pieces will be fired and will be on display in the exhibition in the Stoke Newington Library, which is linked to the project.

Participants will take a quest map and a panel with a number on it. They will use the quest map to find their place in the park. At their place they will find a flag with their number on it. When they have found their place they will draw whatever catches their eye, they will draw directly onto the panel and return to the workshop space.
